a shoe box design for carlos by carlos santana that ultimately went unused. I took the color palette and went to town on the faux-matisse trend, and i’m satisfied with the result! incidentally, Rudy gutierrez Was a teacher OF MINE during my time at pratt, and he’s WELL-known for creating santana’s trippy album covers. I couldn’t even imagine attempting to bite his style for a shoe box, though, AND I THINK THE UNIVERSE IS GRATEFUL FOR THAT.
